In April 2024, Pete reached out looking for support. At 52, he was feeling the strain of carrying extra weight, managing ongoing injuries and dealing with habits like snacking that had crept in over time. With his first grandchild on the way, he was ready to turn the page and take control of his health.

His goals were clear:
✅ Lose weight
✅ Build strength
✅ Stay injury-free
✅ Perform better in the endurance events he loved

Starting with the basics

We focused first on nutrition, understanding portions, improving food choices and gradually cutting down on the snacks. As the weight began to drop, everything started to click.

Pete lost 20kg (44lbs) of unwanted body fat and has now kept it off for over six months. As his body got leaner, his running improved dramatically. His big goal? Return to the Windsor Half Marathon after a disappointing result in 2023 and this time, do it justice.

In 2024, he did just that, improving his time by over 30 minutes.

Stronger, faster, pain-free

With strength training now part of his weekly routine, Pete’s injuries faded and his confidence grew. The results spoke for themselves when he took on his first ever Spartan event placing:

🏆 1st in his age group (out of 37)
💪 20th overall male (out of 560)

Looking ahead

Now injury-free, stronger than ever and with a totally transformed approach to nutrition, Pete then went and ran his fastest ever half marathon with a time of 1 hour 41 minutes!

Pete’s journey is proof that your 50s can be the start of something incredible, not the beginning of a slow decline.

With the right plan and consistent effort, transformation isn’t just possible, it’s inevitable.

Pete
